Patrick founded BrrlBox in June 2022 after the approval of his patent (# US 11,390,456 B2). What started as a passion for bourbon led Patrick to pursue a graduate certificate in Distilled Spirits Business from The University of Louisville and an Age-ucation certificate from Moonshine University (yes, it's real).
In addition to Patrick's pursuits to innovate the distilled spirits industry, Patrick is President of Donhoff Kargl Nall Architects in Louisville, KY, where he is known around the office as the “bourbon guru”. At DKN Patrick is the in-house LEED Expert and has spent 10+ years as a sustainability consultant on numerous projects around the U.S.
Patrick’s passion for bourbon and innovation, expertise in architecture, and experience with sustainability measures provided him the opportunity to develop a spirits maturation system that has excellent flavor development, is scalable, cost-effective, structurally robust, and sustainable.
